OK, so I am close to finishing up my pattern template, and can have a second mockup of a hat done and will need test knitter volunteers to make sure someone else besides me can understand my directions. You’ll get wool yarn of your choice (it’s felted) and a copy of the pattern. You’ll need to have time to knit this, its a fairly simple pattern, within say, 1 month, and to email me your comments/pictures/problems so I can edit and change where necessary. Leave me a comment if you’re interested, with your email, and I’ll contact you privately about it. You will probably also get a goodie of some sort with the yarn.
PS – WordPress, this is a call for a volunteer, not marketing. No money will exchange hands. Thanks.
I have some pictures to post tonight. Of the snow a few days ago, and my pair of Fetching modified which should be finished tomorrow! Woo hoooo! And it is almost Friday, and not just any Friday! Its one of our allowance paydays, so I get fantastic money tomorrow that I can spend. Maybe get a knitting pattern book, a pair of shoes and maybe some more yarn. We’ll see!
I’m speeding through my knitting. I have a new pattern I have to get typed up. I want to rework it from my written notes one more time before I have it up. Also, I want to sell it, so I’m going to have to get web-hosting soon. I’m still aiming at the end of February. And most are paid on a yearly basis, so at least once its paid, its paid. I’m wondering if this should come out of allowance money or not. Actually making things for the craft show has slowed a bit as I’m trying to finish another pair of Fetching for a friend. As soon as that’s done, I get some yarn for another version of my hat, make some felted coasters, and buy some Cotlin from KnitPicks.com for some dishcloths.
House hunting has so far been very successful. There is one that I feel God has given me a peace about. And we are pre-approved for a home loan so its just getting to go look at it again with my knowledgeable grandfather. Making a list of repairs and getting quotes together. Submit offer with list of repairs/renovations. Move. If only it will go as smoothly as I typed it out.
Finally, I so want to get into my own business after a day like today, but I know its just my crazy mind again, sick of the same-old routine. I’m determined to stick with this job at least another year, and gain as many skills as I can. If I jump full out into my job right now, I’ll fall flat on my face.
As a side note – to all my friends in Tir-y-don, I dearly miss you. There is no barony out there to take your place.
Here is my Fetching, half way done. As in I have 1 glove of two done.
This is my sari bag, crescent shaped, and I have run out of yarn. So its hibernating.
And the Airy Wrap Sweater from Fitted Knits. Just started it to enjoy the mohair but will work on it in a little bit.
