With January usually comes a drop in hours (and pay) for my dear husband who works retail at this time. So, I thought I would mention one way we make it through the leaner months, for anyone else in this situation. We use Swagbucks. What is Swagbucks?
Swagbucks basically allows you to do the things you normally do everyday on the internet, search, watch videos, take polls, and earn rewards from that. You do not win their digital cash, called swagbucks, every time you search, but you will randomly win anywhere from 1-50 swagbucks while searching. These add up to rewards you can redeem. For instance, I am a big fan of the $5 Amazon e-gift card, which I can redeem for 450 swagbucks. I can usually get around 1 giftcard a month, which I use for things we need (think organizing or school supplies) but we can’t buy out of pocket at the moment. It’s free to join, and free to use. The search feature works a lot like Google. If you’re interested in joining, click here to sign up.
